At Divers Inn MX, our brand is deeply inspired by the story of the koi fish and the ancient Norse dreki (dragon). It’s a tale of transformation, strength, and resilience, values that define who we are and what we stand for.

The koi fish is a symbol of perseverance and grace, originating from Central Asia and making its way into Japanese culture centuries ago. There’s an old legend about a school of koi swimming upstream in China’s Yellow River. When they reached a towering waterfall, many koi gave up, but a few kept leaping, determined to reach the top. After a hundred years of trying, one koi finally made it—and the gods, impressed by its spirit, transformed it into a golden dragon, a symbol of power and destiny fulfilled.

That transformation is at the heart of our story. The dreki—the old Norse word for dragon—represents not just the culmination of the koi’s journey, but also our drive to offer experiences that are both powerful and transformative. The Vikings revered the dreki, using it as the name for their longships, symbols of exploration, adventure, and boldness.
